With Gigabit powerline of up to 1,200 Mbit/s and 2x2 MIMO technology, significantly more robust connections, greater ranges and higher data throughputs are achieved than before. In addition, the device duo provides a WLAN N access point for wirelessly connecting smartphones, tablets and notebooks to the home network and enables broadband applications with the highest demands even in the furthest corners of the house and apartment.

Powerline of the 1200 class

The FRITZ!Powerline 1240E WLAN set connects network-capable devices such as computers, televisions or game consoles in the home network, even over longer distances. With networking via the power line, obstacles such as walls and ceilings can be easily overcome. Compared to powerline adapters from older generations, the FRITZ!Powerline 1240E WLAN set enables significantly more transmission capacity and more robust connections - with the highest energy efficiency. The set is ideal for broadband-intensive applications, such as transmitting HD videos (also in 3D), fast Internet access, online gaming, web TV, NAS connection and video on demand. Even larger distances between the adapters do not affect the quality of the transmission. The 2x2 MIMO technology enables up to 60% greater range in the power network and significantly more stable connections by using two pairs of wires at the same time.

WLAN with long range

The FRITZ!Powerline 1240E adapter in the set has an independent WLAN N access point. The WLAN network can be easily expanded via Powerline and also made available in rooms with a greater distance to the router. With maximum security via WPA2 encryption, easy connection of WLAN devices via WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) and data rates of up to 300 MBit/s, FRITZ!Powerline 1240E offers a lot of convenience and flexibility for wireless surfing.

Easy and safe commissioning

What stands out about AVM's FRITZ!Powerline products is the individual pre-encryption ex works, which enables immediate, secure commissioning. As soon as the FRITZ!Powerline 1000E has been plugged into the socket and connected to the FRITZ!Box using a LAN cable and the FRITZ!Powerline 1240E has been connected to the socket at the desired location with the device to be networked, the Powerline network is established (Plug and Play).
